Carrie Underwood – Storyteller Tour

Last night I went to the Carrie Underwood concert with Marty. Anybody who knows me knows she’s my girl. Earlier in the day I’d gotten my hair colored, which I’m obsessed with by the way, then we went our favorite restaurant, Tutta Bella, and then it was time for Carrie. Even though the day ended with me wheeling through dog sh*t and sitting in 45 minutes of traffic to get out of downtown, it was a great day. It was my third time seeing her – the first time I went with my friend Lexi when we were in high school, the second time my mom bought tickets when I was still in the ICU at Harborview, and this time Carrie wasn’t even coming to Seattle, but last minute added some extra stops to her tour. Thank God.

The opening performers, I’d never heard of them, in my opinion were not so great – especially when one of them started singing Love Yourself by Justin Bieber – not the best song with a country sound to it. The DJ’s voice kept breaking when he was shouting to fans in the microphone, but it was pretty cool when he started breakdancing. Finally, it was time for Carrie to come out. I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning – smiling ear to ear. Although her outfits were definitely questionable she is still such a babe and has the best legs. She sang all my favorite songs except for Temporary Home, played the harmonica like a badass, and put on a great show. I’m ready for her to put out another album and go on tour again. I’ll be the first to buy tickets.
