I Do’s with a View

We had so much fun going to Oregon for my cousin’s wedding! We stayed in Hood River at our friends’ house. What a cute town – we would love to go back when we have more time and explore and watch the wind surfers. We went to a little breakfast place that came highly recommended. It was quite delicious and as always I ordered wayyy to much food – a ham and egg scramble, hashbrowns, pancakes, 2 huge biscuits, and some bacon. Yum. During our down time I sat in the sun, read my book, and watched Marty play with Charlie in the couple acres of grassy backyard.

The night of the rehearsal dinner we were already rushing around and running late when right as we were pulling out of the driveway the lotion I was putting on my legs exploded and got all over my dress. Luckily it blended in pretty well as I didn’t have anything else to wear and we didn’t have time to go back in the house to change. Learned my lesson … put lotion on before I get dressed next time. The rehearsal dinner was very fun. At the end of the night my mom and aunt were running around grabbing the little vases they used for decorations and sticking them in our purses, my cousin’s diaper bags, and all our hands yelling “they’re from Pottery Barn!!” Turns our they were from World Market but still just as cute. Somehow we also managed to get out with 80 mason jars. We only wanted a dozen but people saw us with the 12 and started bringing the rest over to us. So everyone we know will be getting apple pie moonshine this holiday season and jam in the spring.

The wedding was perfect. It was at my aunt and uncle’s house who live on 100+ acres at the top of what might as well be a small mountain that has the most gorgeous view of all the rolling hills surrounding their house, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Adams. My cousin made a beautiful bride. My dad officiated the wedding and did such a good job … nobody would have known it was his first time! So happy to welcome my cousin’s new husband to the family. It was a lively, fun, wonderful night. There’s never a dull moment with my family from my uncle cutting himself carving the pig, the groom’s grandma driving off a small bridge into a creek, three sheriffs showing up, my cousin’s dance off, my other cousin taking over the floor when a country line dancing song came on, and lots of drinks, laughter, and good times.

Can’t wait for the next cousins wedding! Hunter it’s time you put a ring on Hayley’s finger – we want to come party with you guys again.

Jesus. Husband. Family. Schnoodle. Spaghetti.
