Our wedding day. What an absolutely perfect, beautiful, joyful day. I cannot say enough good things. We truly felt so loved, supported, and celebrated by all our friends and family. I got the dice game Tenzies in my Christmas stocking this year and couldn’t help but buy Watch Ya’ Mouth (the mouthpiece game) after watching all the hilarious videos on Facebook. I got to bring in the new year with my boyfriend and great friends. Aimee, Emily, and I have known each other since we were three – we went to preschool together. It was such fun. We ate lots of tasty appetizers, drank too much wine, and played Cards Against Humanity. It was my kind of New Year’s Eve.
Every Christmas since I can remember we spend with my dad’s side of the family. So this year it was very fun to go to Miami and be with my mom’s family. This Thanksgiving we decided to do something different and it may just become a tradition. Typically, we go to Spokane to spend the long weekend with my dad’s side of the family, but this year instead of driving to Spokane we met the family halfway in Cle Elum. We rented a log cabin … more like a lodge in the woods. There were 28 of us – family came in from the Seattle area, Bellingham, Spokane, and California. Guys! I started shooting for Rolling with Emma the TV show, coming 2017 … just kidding! (I wish though!) But I did get to be a movie star for a couple hours. The University of Washington has been putting something together called the Empowerment Project to get information out to people with spinal cord injuries. I have starred in three of their videos – two on respiratory management and the latest on hand function.
