’19 Wedding Season Begins

Categories Life

I had the best time celebrating the marriage of my cousin and his wife! Plus, I always love spending time with family – it’s my favorite thing to do.

When we checked into our hotel the front desk informed us they were overbooked and had no accessible rooms left. We have found ourselves in this situation a handful of times and it is simply not acceptable at all. They managed to get us in a regular room that night, which we were able to make work and the next two nights they upgraded us to the accessible suite. There is much more to this story involving my dad and his response and reaction to the situation… I’ll save this for another blog another time.

The next day was busy with the bridal shower and the rehearsal dinner. Again, such a fun time being with family, catching up, laughing, and making new memories together. Next was the wedding day and we got to officially welcome Nichell, my cousin’s new wife, to the family. It was definitely a new experience – the ceremony was a traditional, high mass celebrated in Latin at their small Catholic church. Then the reception was at my Uncle and Aunt’s house in their beautiful backyard. What a great wedding, reception, and party it was. And then it was time to head home.

Looking forward to when the whole family is together again! It’s hard to get everyone together with in-laws, kids, jobs, cousins in California, and busy schedules. So I love when we are able to make it happen. My heart is full.

Jesus. Husband. Family. Schnoodle. Spaghetti.
